With 20 years in retail management and sales experience specializing in the outdoor and cycling industries, Jack brings a wealth of knowledge as sales manager to the On Duty team. He has worn every hat available in the retail sector from managing, buying, shipping logistics, web page and online store buildout, along with hundreds of hours of training to hone his skills. He truly knows what it takes to support our retail and distribution accounts.
Dr. Brian Adkins currently practices ER medicine at UK and is an Assistant Dean in the medical school and medical director for UK sports. He grew up in the small Kentucky town of Sandy Hook and attended the University of Kentucky in undergrad and for medical school.

Loren is a registered nurse (R.N) who provides care to patients in the ICU that are recovering from open-heart surgery, vascular surgeries, and lung transplants. In addition to his experience in the ICU, Loren worked as a first responder in backcountry environments.
In his free time Loren races mountain bikes, lifts weights, goes camping, and regularly trains with firearms. Given his physically demanding passions, by his own testament, he is usually in pain from one activity or another resulting in less sleep and energy than needed. With On Duty CBD Loren says he gets a more restful sleep and experiences less much pain.

Following service with the USAF, where (as a Distinguished Graduate of the USAF’s Security Forces Academy), Instructor J was a member of the Tactical Response Force (TRF) providing Group–and Squadron–level Tac Team security for nuclear weapons convoys, and “Rapid Response” to nuclear ICBM sites. Instructor J went on to serve as a police officer in North Dakota and is now a co–founder and instructor with Guardian Training and Consulting. He is currently a POST certified peace officer, Field Training Officer, and General Instructor. In addition to his civilian firearms instructor certifications, J is a POST Firearms Instructor, a Patrol Rifle (AR–15) Instructor, a DPS Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) Firearms Instructor, and a Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Active Shooter Threat Instructor.

Megan Nicole Larson was raised by patriots and now we are lucky to have her in our On Duty Family. When she’s not trying to help us say yes to fitness, Megan Nicole teaches our Nation’s military members, first responder cadres, professional athletes, and Main Street families how to build their endurance and protect their health. Megan Nicole holds six nutrition and fitness certifications and is a Las Vegas-based personal trainer, yoga instructor, and nutrition coach. She is regularly featured in print, including in our favorite publication, Skillset Magazine.

Branden, OEF12 82nd Purple Heart Veteran, answered the call to service after high school and joined the U.S. Army. He quickly excelled through the ranks as an airborne-qualified paratrooper and was assigned to the 504th Infantry Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC, from where he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. On July 4th 2012, while on routine patrol, Branden‘s convoy was hit by an improvised explosive device on the road. Branden sustained injuries but survived and completed his service commitment until he was honorably discharged by the U.S. Army. Branden is especially active in the nonprofit “Weed for Warriors”, which endeavors to stop the veteran suicide and overdose epidemic by building structure for veterans to find help, camaraderie, and safe access to natural, cannabis-based products.

Ashley began her career as a US Army military police officer and was recruited into the Army’s highly competitive elite horsemanship team. Ashley has competed at a national level and trained hundreds of special forces operators tactical horsemanship skills prior to OCONUS deployments.
Ashley is a fitness guru and is pursuing bachelor’s degree in psychology at Husson University via the GI Bill she earned serving her country.

Sgt. Squyres served as an infantryman with the United States Marine Corps (USMC). He has been a law enforcement officer for thirty-six years, spending his entire LEO career serving with a small city police department in East Texas. Sgt. Squyres has spent over three decades where he loves to be, on patrol. He has served in the Special Reaction Team, Criminal Investigation Division and bicycle patrol. Rodney is currently holding down the fort as patrol shift Sergeant.
Dr. Rankin is one of On Duty’s resident overachievers. A former police officer, undercover narcotics officer, substance abuse counselor, and a college educator. She holds three degrees from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), a doctorate from The University of Alabama with additional graduate work in Public Health. Dr. Rankin served as a Research Fellow at the University of Alabama Education Research and Policy Center and was awarded the prestigious Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Fellowship by the National Data Policy Institute.

Mark served with the US Air Force, Security Police, and as a C-130 Loadmaster. Mark served in Operation’s Urgent Fury (Grenada), Just Cause (Panama), Restore Hope (Somalia), Deep Freeze (Antarctica), plus Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Mark served with the U.S. Marshals Service and is a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mark was a founding member and former Chairman of the Arkansas Freedom Fund.

During Karen’s tenure with the Chicago Police Department, she served in both the Patrol, Plain Clothes Tactical Team (Tac Team), and the Marine/Helicopter Unit. Additionally, Instructor Karen served America as an operational Federal Air Marshal, a Department of Homeland Security Certified Firearms Instructor, and a Defensive Measures (Defensive Tactics) Instructor. Instructor Karen is a U.S. Coast Guard Certified Merchant Marine Officer and graduate of the Law Enforcement Instructor Development Program and Reid and Associates Behavioral Recognition/Reid Interview Technique of Interview and Interrogation.

Lt. Murphy was the first responding officer to the Sikh Temple massacre which left 6 dead. Lt. Murphy was shot 15 times during the gunfight with the suspect and was recognized nationally for his actions. Lt. Murphy served in the USMC and the United Nations P.D. He has served with Oak Creek P.D. for 22 years. He worked in the Emergency Response Unit for a decade and holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Lt. Murphy was awarded: Presidential Public Safety Medal of Valor in 2015, Congressional Badge of Bravery in 2015, and
Oak Creek Police Medal of Valor & Purple Heart in 2013.
